Gamha Purnima (also known as Raksha Bandhan) is the full moon celebration of the birthday of Lord Balabhadra, the elder brother of Lord Jagannath. Devotees tie Rakhi on the deities and to each other, celebrating the bond of protection between siblings. Special puja is offered to Lord Balabhadra and prasad is distributed to all.
