Festival overview
Bahuda Yatra is the grand return procession of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra from the Gundicha Temple back to the main Shree Mandira (Jagannath Temple). After nine days away, the deities return amidst chanting, music, and the joyous pulling of the chariots by thousands of devotees. The Bahuda Yatra is considered as sacred as the Rath Yatra itself.
